The Kiss on Mirror Lake

The closeness of two hearts
Frozen on a page in time
A gentle kiss was given
Beneath the warm sunshine

On a quiet mountain lake
We sat for a little while
Talked about God's many gifts
Enjoying the Adirondack style

The tiny rowboat weathered
The oars a little worn
One life jacket between us
From which the straps were torn

The kiss we shared that day
Will be forever on my mind
For the woman that I married
Is truly one of a kind
